80 hectares with buildings in 3 architectural styles: Medieval, Romantic and Renaissance, mirroring 2000 years of history of an exceptional island in Normandy. A place that seems to have been designed to celebrate the great events of life in the heart of nature, in a preserved bubble, far from cities and chaos. Your guests will be able to park along our 2 long tree-lined driveways. At the end of these alleys they will have the surprise to discover the neo-gothic style castle with its large openings and reception rooms.
The central castle has several reception rooms on the ground floor and 8 bedrooms to welcome your family and the bride and groom. On the back a 17th century building is divided in 3 parts. The first part is a chapel designed by Mansart, the architect of Louis the 14th' Palace (Versailles). In the second part you will find 3 apartments with a hosting capacity of 15 guests. In the third part, a large multipurpose room and a wide garden behind the building can welcome a cocktail party for example. A marquee can be installed in different place depending if you want a view toward the castle, nearby the river or toward the natural park.
We advertise as being able to cater for up to 50 guests, however, if you do have larger numbers then we are able to cater for this on request. However, we just want to make potential couples know that this is a dry hire venue with some accomodation and therefore all the services and suppliers would have to be bought in by yourselves. We are a family run business that has opened our home to provide a beautiful setting for couples to get married here, providing a unique venue and setting.
Opposite a long building gathers a large room, a chapel and hides behind a very large walled garden where you can surprise your guests with specific scenography. Many solutions are possible to set up a tent that can accommodate up to 500 people for the evening. The family and the bride and groom will be able to sleep on site (capacity of 30 people) while your guests will find many accommodation solutions less than 10min from the property. You are the masters of the place for a weekend or more and we are there to guarantee the smooth running of the events until your departure.
Please note that we only have limited slots for weddings per year so that we can keep each wedding personal - mid June, October and between Xmas and New Year.
The rate per week is 14 000 Euro and includes:
- Accommodation for up to 35 people (possibility for people to come with camper vans too)
- event room for up to 50 guests
- outdoor marquee overlooking the castle (50 sq meters)
- usage of castle kitchen, laundry room, bbq, all shared areas (living room, dining etc.), absolutely independently (imagine like ranting a big airbnb, there will be no staff on spot, so they have to be self sufficient)
- 3 more kitchens in the independent apartments
- huge private natural park
It is up to the guests to organise their event and manage catering and any external suppliers, we are only renting the venue. They can bring their alcohol and no corkage will be charged.
