The Château is lovingly cared for by Julia, originally from Australia, who, as an artist and designer by trade, has renovated this magnificent estate to create a wooded wonderland with its beautiful bedrooms, quintessential rustic French period features, walled garden, peaceful swimming pool, stunning Event Hall, woodlands and seasonal lake.
Ideally located north of Toulouse and only a twenty minute drive from Grand Figeac, Villenueve d'Aveyron and Cajarc, this stunningly beautiful château is on the door-step of some of the most beautiful ancient towns in France. The château sits peacefully in the centre of its 15 acres, surrounded by century old trees, walled gardens, woodland stream and oak forests. The property is completely private and perfectly secluded, while remaining close to amenities.
The Château is also available for exclusive rental, meaning you will have complete, private access to the entire estate. If you are dreaming of a bohemian, rustic French wedding without compromising on style and modern facilities, then Mas de Pradié ticks all the boxes. Hold your ceremony under the decorated arch to the walled garden, celebrate with your loved ones with a cocktail reception overlooking lavender and wisteria and dine and dance the night away in our dedicated Event Hall.
The Château was built in the mid eighteenth century and its large barn, which today has been converted into an impressive Event Hall, once served as a royal relay station for horses, meaning that royalty often stopped here on their way north. It was also home to an old mill that operated when the lake flooded seasonally into the ancient cave system below.
Our renovated Grant Event Hall, once a royal livery, can now accommodate up to 80 guests for a sit down ceremony or wedding breakfast.
Meanwhile, the gardens offer stunning alfresco options in a place harmonious with nature. Hold your ceremony on the terrace, with the chapel as a backdrop or out in the walled gardens with the beautiful gateway leading up to the fountain setting the scene. For your reception, use one of our many outdoor spaces or the Grand Event Hall, with its separate facilities and catering kitchen.
The front of the chateau has a large flat terrace perfect for a cocktails party, an outdoor lunch or dinner, and in summer the terrace stays shaded by the trees. A fountain sits just in front of the terrace providing the cooling bubbling sound of water. If you wish for a large marquee to be set up for your wedding we have several options within the parklands for you to consider for larger guest numbers.
We are very proud of our exquisite petite chapel, available for a private ceremony or even a private dinner for two.
It is recommended to hire a wedding planner for your special day, but if you wish to plan your own celebration we can provide you with a selection of quality service providers covering all your celebration requirements. You are free to use caterers and suppliers of your choice. The Château is available weekends or for weekday weddings, you are free to choose. We recommend staying at least three nights at the Chateau so you have time to relax and create the perfect environment for your perfect day.
Our price listed includes accommodation for up to 18 people for 3 nights, use of the Grand Events Hall, plus full use of venue, pool, gardens etc.
