Description

This stunning Château is a beautiful example of a 13th Century fortified manoir, set in 40 acres of land, built on the bank of River Lot in the South West of France. We understand how important the big day is and are believers that everything should be exactly how you want it to be.

The most ancient part is the square brick tower built as a strategic asset during the Hundred Years' War. During the 15th -17th centuries, the owners ordered the construction of the main building you see today. The magnificent stone spiral staircase was added most probably during the 15th century. Since being purchased by its current owner, the Château has undergone renovation and restoration work achieving a mix of classic and modern design throughout.

Providing the beautiful Chateau for dry hire, we don't tie you in to our own caterers or suppliers, but provide the blank canvas so you can project your own style and personality. However, we do have recommended suppliers who we have worked on in the past that we can highly recommend if required.

With over 40 acres of gardens and woodland, this 13th Century Château is at your disposal. So bring your own florist, stylists and caterers and create the perfect wedding day.

Lovingly restored and now available to book the Chateau is full of character and is the perfect location to spend a relaxing and indulgent wedding day with family and friends. Offering 3 defined suites and a total of 9 bedrooms, Château de Rigoulières sleeps up to 20 adults. The rooms benefit from large traditional windows overlooking the River Lot and the mature gardens of the Château.

Our guest capacity for weddings is maximum 150-160, with long tables and 132 guest approximately with round tables. If you require more guests numbers then it is possible to put up a marquee within the grounds but please contact for more information.

Facilities at the Château include an outdoor heated pool from 1st June to mid-September (may be extended dependent on weather), fishing on the River Lot and acres of private land at your disposal.

Prices start from:
5350 Euros per week in low season (October - April)

Reviews

  • This venue offered a perfect wedding destination in the region of the Lot. It was situated a short drive outside the village this old mill provided a perfect setting. We had a good sized room overlooking the river and the original mill and the bed was extremely comfortable. There was a terrace alongside the river with facilities for fishing and on a higher level a swimming pool which was great for all our guests to relax. Parking was on site close to the entrance accessed up a short flight of steps. Our hostess recommended a quirky chateau in the village for our evening meal the day before the wedding which was amazing. This proved to be a memorable experience not to be missed. The hosts were very accomodating and helped with the details on the day and we would certainly recommend this venue to other couples.

  • Absolutely magical place. Everything is an invitation to relax, to pleasure .. the castle is beautiful, both inside and outside. The whole area is guarded by nymphs who watch every passage, and nook, from the pool to the garden, through the path along the river, littered with fragrant currants and lavender ... definitely a little piece of paradise. We do not want to leave ...Such a beautiful location to get married and would highly recommend.
