Description

Nobody back in 1943 in Canada could have guessed the future fame of the frigate Stormont, a convoy escort. But then came 1954, when Aristotle Onassis bought her. Instead of writing history as a navy ship, she wrote history as the world’s grandest and most exalted yacht: Onassis’ legendary “Christina”. Under new ownership in 1998, she was given her new name “Christina ‘O’”. She has been restored to her old glory, through a complete refurbishment and repowering by the world’s leading experts. She is one of the only mega yachts capable of accommodating up to 36 guests in 19 staterooms, in full compliance with SOLAS, US Coastguard and Public Health regulations. All of the guest cabins can either be double or twin and all en-suite.Young children or babies are also allowed to share rooms with parents. The bathrooms and cosmetic products supplied are of the highest quality. Beautiful linens and day covers are used, and an evening turndown service is provided by the attentive crew. Air conditioning is centrally controlled but set for a comfortable temperature throughout your stay.

Her history is unique…..sail back in time with the likes of Winston Churchill, Marilyn Monroe, Princess Grace, Frank Sinatra, aboard the famous ship of the legendary Aristotle Onassis and Jacqueline Kennedy-Onassis.

In 1998 the vessel was purchased by a family friend of Onassis and underwent an extensive refurbishment and re-powering, restoring her to her former glory and with the addition of all the latest technologies and equipments. The yacht has fabulous areas for entertaining, including a sumptuous dining room capable of seating up to 40 guests, perfect for an intimate wedding reception or a bruch the following day for close friends and family. Her exterior amenities include the famous swimming pool which converts to a dance floor, a large Jacuzzi and extensive sunbathing decks. The interior amenities include a library, self playing piano, gym and spa facilities which includes two full time massage/beauty therapists. The yacht also has a wide range of toys and tenders including jet skis, flyboards, wind surfers, AquaGlide inflatable slide, kayaks, paddleboards and a water-ski boat available with this hire for your use during your stay.

The crew are the most important part of this boat and have been highly praised for their work. The team of Chefs are one of the greatest assests of the boat. The Head Chef is French, and the Pastry Chef in Argentinian, and together with the team of Sous Chefs they can produce cuisine of impeccable standard. They can cater for large numbers as well as offer extraordinary a la carte menus. There are also two beautifully restored Hacker Craft boats that will transport guests to and from the yacht to the shore. WiFi is also available throughout the yacht.

When Onassis bought the vessel in 1954, he converted her at an expense of over $4 million, into the largest, most modern and most exalted yacht of her era. Christina O became his floating mansion for over two decades but could now be a stunning location for a unique wedding venue in the South of France.

The canopied decks are the ideal venue for any extra special occasion. She can cruise with up to 157 persons and up to 250 guests can be entertained on her canopied decks for the ultimate event.

We have an array of other boats available for all requirements so if you are thinking about getting married on a boat then please do get in touch and we will pair you with your dream charter.

Location

Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Wedding VenueThis is quite possibly one of the most spectacular locations on earth. You may have seen celebrity weddings taking place here and you may have even seen huge yachts taking off from St Tropez, but now it is possible for you to have your very own wedding here as well.

The five-star hotels that are in this area are not to be missed and this is actually one of the most sought-after wedding destinations in the world. It’s important to know that this is the main hub when it comes to country roads.

The French Riviera is not only Saint Tropez though! The coast between Nice and Marseille is also well known for its charming and picturesque villages such as Cassis, Sanary, les Goudes, Giens, Hyères, Bormes-Les-Mimosas and Cagnes sur Mer. However, if you would prefer to get married in a field of lavender, or if you want to have an idyllic rural setting that will really make your big day magical we suggest you have a look at the most famous villages in the heart of Provence such as Gordes, Roussillon, Tourtour, Eze, Saint-Paul de Vence. This is easily one of the most picturesque locations in France, and even though it may not be rich in architecture, it certainly makes up for it when you look at the stunning sights that Mother Nature herself is able to provide. The wedding venues in this area are just as spectacular, and if you choose the right spot, you may not even have to decorate. It really is that beautiful to look at.
