Bourgogne-Franche-Comté Wedding VenuesThis region is a combination of Burgundy and Franche-Comté. Why not say yes in the same birthplace as Louis Pasteur and even Victor Hugo! Franche-Comté is known as being one of the greenest areas in France.

It is also one of the least populated areas as well. For this reason, it’s ideal for those who want to have a luxurious country wedding or even those who want to say their vows under a cool alpine sunrise. Burgundy on the other hand is home to the luxurious world of renowned French gastronomy and wine.

You’ll find the finest Délice de Pommard cheese and villages include Meursault and Gevrey Chambertin. These are home to the finest wine in the whole of France, so if the meal is the biggest part of your celebration then you know that this region is the one that you need to be looking at. Burgundy is the land of rolling hills and stunning villages, so it is the ideal location for you to say “I do”. You really won’t find anything else like this in the world, and it is perfect for those who would rather have glorious sunsets, green landscaping that goes on for miles and a glass of the finest red wine in the country.

  • The visit to the Abbey was our first place visit and we literally fell in love! The house, the hall and this immense park filled with hundred-year-old trees give you a feeling of fullness. The owners are adorable and at your service thanks to Agathe who manages weddings! If you are looking for a place with character, you can choose it without hesitation!

  • We were married on October 13, 2018 at The Elegant Abbey.
Everything was perfect for this magnificent autumn day in the Indian summer climate.
What to start with ? By the magnificent place enjoying a sumptuous wooded park where the guests could walk on Saturday morning with pleasure. By the reception hall with an undeniable cachet with its stone vault. She was able to easily accommodate our 88 guests and the dance floor. By the castle with its living room and its rooms decorated with taste and care. We feel good, we feel "at home". By the owners Arnaud and Nicolas, charming, present, kind and very available! By Agathe, the wonderful and perfect organizer of D-Day, present before the wedding (with phone calls and email exchanges to follow the progress of preparations and detail the schedule for D-Day), and the day of the installation of the decoration, at the reception of the providers, to the conductor of the day so that everything goes as desired so that we, we the married but also the witnesses and family, of this particular day. Finally, I could add that the small wedding fair organized by the abbey in November is perfect for finding a good number of providers, especially when you do not live in the region. 3 weeks later, our guests still tell us about our wedding. So thank you to the whole venue for making you live this magnificent day.
    Charlotte and Marc-Antoine, October 2018
