Description

Enjoy our 17th century Château located in the heart of the Perche region on a 350 acre property with ponds, rivers, waterfalls, forests and a 17th century watermill with its own waterfront microbrewery.

With a sleeping capacity of 37 over the entire property, our venue is ideal for destination weddings as family and friends can spend the week together to celebrate. Enjoy a game of pool, a day of fishing, and relax in the jacuzzi or by the hunt room fireplace. You are at home throughout the estate with the freedom to organize your reception to your liking!

We are a family run business who have been at the Chateau since 1928 when the family purchased the estate as a hunting property. We have since decided to rent our family home for weddings, as well as create a microbrewery on the site of our watermill so there is a lot of history to this wedding venue making it more of a home from home.

We strive to understand your needs so we can offer you a variety of options that cater to your vision.

Whether you are planning an intimate or grand wedding, we have everything you need. We can accommodate up to 220 people in our 252 m2 tent, which has lighting and wooden floor, tables and chairs (available from end of May until mid October). You can then have the after party in our barn turned dance hall which is fully equipped with a dance floor and a DJ sound system.

Location

Normandy French Wedding VenuesNormandy is the land of the plenty. It shares a border with Brittany and it is also known as being the friendliest corner of France as well.

If you have heard of Camembert then this is its home. If you want to get married in a land of history and culture then this is the right destination for you. It is home to Rouen and Caen, and as if that wasn’t enough, you also have one of the most iconic landmarks in the area. You have Mont St Michel and this is a medieval abbey that actually happens to rise out of the ocean.

You also have some of the finest, most scenic buildings and it really is spectacular to say the least. If you want to get married in a building that will take your breath away as soon as you walk in then this is certainly the right place for you and Normandy is great for first-time visitors to France. It is so easy to get to and there are plenty of trains that run through the area as well, so you and your guests will never have a hard time getting to your wedding venue or even to your reception.

Reviews

  • We had our wedding reception here and 46 people (including 10 children) stayed for a week in the Chateau, Guest House, Watermill house, and the host's brother's house (the farmhouse). It was a beautiful week, the party was fantastic (70 people easily fit in the barn) and Christian, our host, was warm, accommodating and always available when we had questions. We also purchased 2 kegs of Christian's brewery beer which everyone loved. The fall colours were out in full force - red vines on the building, so gorgeous and perfect for photos!! It was truly better than even expected. Big beds, big rooms, the grounds are huge. We went kayaking on 2 of the 4 ponds, we used the jacuzzi on the lake, used a few of the bicycles, and the kids loved the swimming pool, which was heated. A lot of guests travelled via direct train from Paris (Gare Montparnasse) so we rented a 9-seater van to bring guests to / from the local train station, a 20km drive away. There are taxis but we preferred the van. We self catered the party but it was a lot of effort by a lot of guests so if you can afford to get a caterer, that is one thing we recommend. We also had fireworks which were a blast, pardon the pun. The Chateau is in a great location for exploring the surrounding areas - we visited a few local villages, and some guests visited went slightly further afield. Highly recommended!

  • If you are looking for a place with amazing staff, amazing photogenic property, and an overall wonderful experience, this is most definitely the place. If you cannot speak French, this is okay. Most of the staff speak English. There is a delightful brewery with in walking distance, and a plethora of water crafts to explore their loved wooded lake.
